Although our lawyers always put forward the benefits of proactive advisory legal support, in order to avoid disputes, we inevitably come across litigation proceedings in many civil and commercial transactions. Our Firm has handled a number of significant litigation cases, varying from the application for provisional measures before First Instance Courts to complex commercial disputes brought before the Greek Supreme Civil Court (Areios Pagos).
Our litigation team steps in when litigation proceedings arise in individual projects/cases, handled by the different practice areas of the Firm, but it also has longstanding cooperation with individual clients, handling all the disputes they may encounter in the course of their business. Notably, Nikos Kanellias acts as external litigation counsel of Alpha Bank group, handling many of the litigation cases of Alpha Finance and Alpha Asset Management.
Papadimitriou – Pimblis & Partners strongly encourages its lawyers, associates and trainees to assist, through pro bono work, those individuals and groups unable to afford legal services. We are listed in the Athens Bar Association pro bono legal aid, pledging to commit our time to work on pro bono cases. Our attorneys, both litigators and non-litigators, represent individuals of limited means in matters including indebted households in litigation and settlement both in and out of court, family law and nonprofit charitable and cultural organisations cases.
Our Firm has contributed the Greek Section of the International Comparative Legal Guide (ICLG) on “Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgements” (year 2019).
